We hope our values and our work continue to resonate with you and it nudges you to get involved and take action. Now that we have our footprint in 8 villages across 3 states a grid, a pipeline that we have laid, it’s also for a lot of new and established ideas. Just knowing that we made someone’s life a little better, made a little positive dent on how they look at their own worth and dignity, makes these two and half decades worthwhile. Paperwork showed it was packed with 72 tons worth of blue vats filled with propionyl chloride. For an organization, working with the most neglected communities on their most ignored, un-noticed non-issues, growing on this path has been a humbling and beautiful journey. The shipping container raised suspicions as soon as it arrived in remote northwestern Laos last July.
In 1990, when we started Rays of Peace if anyone had told us that 25 years later ROP will be triggering over 30 hardcore rural development work every month, impacting poverty, water, education, health, or that we will be creating first-time learners or will be working across 3 states on disaster relief and rehabilitation, our only reaction would have been disbelief.
